Anyone had any pet squrriel? where can you buy? how do yo keep it? how do you train it?

there alot of fun. but you cant train them like a dog. the older they get the wilder they are. let it outside when its able to take care of itself. for a while it will come to you when you go outside not cause it loves you like a dog but because its checking to see if you have food. as time goes on youll see less and less of him then one day hes gone. they will bite you sometimes too. if you capture one dont cage it youll never tame it completlyAnyone had any pet squrriel? where can you buy? how do yo keep it? how do you train it?

Not sure about just wild squirrels , I breed Degus http://www.degus.org/ look a little like squirrels. Talk to your local exotic pet store and see if they can give you any information about them.

i dont know of anywhere thats its legal to own a pet squirrel.. I do wildlife rescue.. and save lots every year... I release them at about 6 months of age... they go wild very fast.. I have never had a tame one... and all were syringe fed by me.
Squirrels should not be forced into domestication. Let them remain wild, there's no way you could please all their desires, by keeping them in a cage.
